The Townhall team, led by Katie Pavlich, combines investigative reports, breaking news reporting, cutting-edge political commentary and analysis for conservatives by conservatives. Townhall.com launched in 1995 as the first conservative web community. At that time, only a handful of political sites existed and Townhall.com was the first major investment in online activism made by either side. In 2005, Townhall.com split off from The Heritage Foundation and in 2006, Townhall.com was acquired by Salem Media Group -- America’s leading multimedia company specializing in Christian and conservative content, with media properties comprising broadcast, digital media and book and newsletter publishing.
