"Pear Danish", or Pærdansk, refers to things that are thoroughly, unmistakably Danish. Spring gardening in your urban "kolonihave" is one of those things. If you live in an apartment in a Danish city, you might not have much land to garden in, but you might own a "colony garden" where you can grow flowers and vegetables, and perhaps build a little wooden house.
